And for some reason, you're just not into it???? Well, like a lot of folks, y'all don't have a ton of $$$, so time to get creative & styleslap that place, like this:
I mean- y'all!!!! Gotta say I'm pretty proud of this one...we nixed the original wallpaper for this fantastic floral drama situ, available here. Remember powder rooms & smaller spaces, like entryways, are PERFECT for bold wallpapers. This paper isn't necessarily cheap, but it's the STAR of the room, so client was more than excited to invest in it. Also, we saved on other items which I'll get to in a minute. Hold on.
The sconces are so elegant and really timeless, available here. Those weren't necessarily cheap either, b/c we needed two, but they're not that cra cra, in the grand scheme of bathroom renovations.
Now just shut the...F&%K y'all-- the mirror is insane in all the BEST ways. The distressed finish is awesome & plays so well of the brass, the marble, the matte wallpaper, and the shape/silhouette is unique and perfectly fits the relatively narrow space we had to work within between our two sconces.
SAVINGS ALERTS...so, I mentioned how we saved quite a bit? Well here goes...It's kinda hard to see in these pics, but we repurposed the existing 'fauxhogany' vanity by having it painted black! YASSSS- the power of paint gets me everytime! It's unbelievable how chic that painted vanity now is! BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE: then, we had a 2" thick piece of cararra marble cut to fit. And had a more simplistic sink basin attached to replace Roman Swag fantasy! All this goodness prob cost around $300-$500 in total. THEN, 'cause yeah, folks, there's MORE:
We reused the existing brass faucet sink set up! The brass finish doesn't quite match the new sconces, but despite what y'all may think, your metal finishes don't always have to match exactly. GASP. I KNOW. Obvi, this varies for each unique space, but I think b/c of all the other elements at play here: the polished marble, the rustic wooden mirror frame, the matte, 'licious wallpaper, having another finish is great and makes it more interesting visually. SO there y'all have it- With some clever reusing, repurposing and reinventing y'all can totally transform your timewarp rooms into chic spaces that don't break your bank!
